Welcome to my world!! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and checking out my culinary journey!
I’m a social worker who uses cooking and baking (sometimes both in the same day) as my forms of self-care, self-indulgence, and self-love. My mother and Yiayia taught me to embrace olive oil, garlic, and lemons. Greek cooking runs through my veins and I try to spice up the traditionally boring Celtic cuisine. My partner’s family is Polish, my dogs are Mexican, and I love Southern food.
I have honed my skills as I have traversed adulthood and I rarely let a culinary experience pass me by. Traveling and being able to try new cuisines are two of the things for which I am most grateful. I’m also obsessed with coffee and Cheez-its, not necessarily together 🙂 I also haven’t met a cheesecake or a fish taco that I don’t like. I love non-fiction, rock star biographies, dark and twisted comedies, mysteries and thrillers, being on the beach, cooking shows, filling my house with flowers and candles, and binge-watching TV shows. My two chihuahuas are the lights of my life and I even cook for them (in petite portions). My boyfriend inspires me to be better everyday, even in the kitchen.
The therapeutic benefits of chopping, smashing, mincing, stirring, etc. are limitless and there is no better positive reinforcement than a piece of crispy chicken or a gooey ganache. Am I right?
